Though every one is individualistic and voices for his/her self interest only, But for the larger interest of the country, the pay commission should be scrapped or it should be redesigned. Pay hike must be only linked with productivity(social and commercial) and integrity of any employee.
Pay commission recommends many things, but only pay hike component is being implemented , rest goes to the back burner.
Slashing 2 weekend leave, reducing holidays in substantial number, shift wise duty, fixing work hours rather the duty hour, Daily performance audit, balancing between over staffing and under staffing, simplifying Hiring and firing process, making the bureaucratic hierarchy more smoother, abolishing red tapism, emphasis over good conduct with the public, these are the things which should be taken into account on priority basis by any pay commission.
