New motor transport and traffic act still avoiding the most crucial aspect of the accidents occurrence in the country, that is over speeding and disorder over the roads in the absence of traffic police.The new act relying more on penalizing Motor drivers. Indian authority must never allow high speed of the vehicles,strictly for the heavy vehicles. In city area they should not be allowed to cross 40 KM per hour. In town area, the heavy vehicle must not allowed to over take, they must have follow their lane only. I have seen in NCR Delhi the heavy vehicle openly over take other vehicle rather they do racing over Delhi roads and thus they create havoc to the commuters and light motor vehicles.
the new act stresses over heavy penalty and even forfeiture of DL in routine violations of so called traffic rule. i do not think red light crosser commits accident. Though, I do not support it, but i don't want to make stress over it. because i know the most of the accidents occur because of disorder over the roads, in morning pre 9 AM time and post 10 PM time and our traffic police is not interested at all in maintaining order over road, they are more interested in making challans, as if they are not a traffic man rather a traffic spying men. It is not in the interest of achieving goal of no tolerance to accidents rather it fulfill the pocket of penalty authority only. On the issue of drunken driving, govt. is going to be very harsh, i say why only driving, it is spoiling everything in the life. In this regard Kerala govt. is right on the path
