My perception regarding Rahul Gandhi is quite different to the others.I find Rahul, a totally clean heart, sensible, issue based and activism orientation person, who does power politics only under pressure of his mother, the lady who is totally reverse to her son's character.I think Rahul must declare that he would never be PM of India,then he will have a much better ranking in the history as a person who being a Gandhi family clan, did not opt Primeministership.
Among the all Nehru-Gandhi clan, J L Nehru was best, to whom I have a great regard, because of his highest degree of intellectualism, idealism, a versatile genius, but anyhow he proved to be a person who committed mistake under the emotion, vary from partition issue to Kashmir issue and last with China issue.
Indira Gandhi was just reverse to his father, not an intellectual and idealist but emotionally strong, who proved herself, a dictator who took many hard decisions.
Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was sober, Jovial but it will be foolish to regard him a highly pro democratic and a person have had non dictatorial attitude, though he gave impression of a person who was reverse to this.
Rajiv also ruled the country in his mother style by keeping both PM and party president post in his own hand. Whenever Rajiv saw, some congress leader is onthe rise, he immediately cut short him. When Arjun Singh became second time CM of MP, Rajiv immediately dethrone him and make him governor of Punjab.
To me Sonia is worst among the Nehru clan, though she has been politically vert successful, But my measuring rod is different. I found Sonia injected many bad things in Congress party like her mother in law Indira Gandhi, like a cult of ultra aggression, identity oriented politics, vote catching populist schemes like MGNREGA and Food security etc and many kind of sectional appeasement politics. Though, these measure made congress successful, but brought country's economy and ethnicity under peril, the factors which ultimately defeated Congress party in 2014 election.
Now the Sonia's biggest agenda is to uplift his son Rahul' bridle as the harbinger of Congress party, but Rahul has no similar nature like his mother. He is not cunning and strategist like his mother and he can not speak lie loudly,by heart he is not a dictator. But now he is doing all odd things under pressure which does not match his basic instinct.
Those persons who say Rahul is incapable and pappu, they must understand this fact, Indira and Rajiv were also not the extraordinary great, They were also westernized sort of persons,only difference was that during their time people were ready to accept dynasty and multi party system was not so developed in country, political alternative was in making only and now Indian public and congress workers are not ready to worship dynasty high command in the same way, what they were doing before.
